Janet Pearce Foster, C-IAYT

Certified and insured by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, the discipline's only professional society, my experience reflects over 1000 hours of yoga therapy training. Recent teaching includes sessions for adults, children, veterans, those with limited range of motion, pre- and post-operative patients and residents of senior living communities. Yoga therapy programs are based on yoga traditions and postures that are gentle and supportive, that can be accessed by those with limited mobility, but still provide a challenge for those who are flexible. Additionally, I am certified to work with trauma survivors by the Trauma Center at the Justice Resource Institute in Boston. Other specialized study includes advanced training in protocol developed for veterans at Walter Reed National Military Center.
